No, I haven't been posted onto a far flung planet. I am still here, still tinkering on my hobbies.
7th December last year, I came to my laptop that was running fine a few minutes earlier and it just had a black screen. It could not be revived. It took over two months until work managed to get a replacement laptop to me with all my data recovered on it. So now I can access the web more easily and get back to blogging my creative endeavours.
More posts to follow shortly, so stay tuned.
Regards, Izzy

Print Friendly Option - now avaiable on this blog :)
I know when I have been to a blog and have seen a piece of information that I wanted to keep for future reference, or as a guide, but when you go to print it or save it as a PDF, it just spits out pages of gibberish, the photos are all crammed into one corner. It is just a waste of paper.
To stop this happening here, I have installed a new tool, called PrintFriendly. So if you open a post you are interested (as a separate post, not in the blog feed), then you will have a couple icons come up, giving you the option to print the post, or save it as a PDF. All free, and free of ads too. I hope it saves some hassles as well as saving some trees.

Cutting the armour
Last night I started to cut out the chest panel of the armour that has arrived. As I could see the boundary a lot easier on the inside of the ABS plastic, I drew my lines with a 6B pencil then slowly, using a Olfa craft knife, I scored the lines, then cut deeper into them till I went through. I have not done the upper part that joins to the back yet as I need the back to see how much I need to take off, but once I do that I will sand the edges with wet and dry sand paper so they will not only have a better shape, they will also not be so sharp.

It was easier to cut out then I thought it would be!

I also need to add a little hole for the strap near the bust line.

E-11 (Hasbro)
I have been tinkering on my E-11 (Hasbro) for a little while now. I do plan to make a scratch or pipe build one day, but till then, the Hasbro will work well for my Scout Trooping.

Blaster after a lot of sanding. I have a couple resin parts for it already and they have been sanded and prepped too.
